The clocks are set back and we are unsure of how we all feel about it in our house. 5 AM kid wake-up calls are a bit brutal, but we are slowly getting adjusted. The Halloween hangover seems to be over and we're jumping into November!

Beach Smart Starts at Age 3

Kids who grow up here should feel at home in the ocean. Sarah Hirshland's Small Waves Ocean School in Live Oak teaches ocean and beach safety. SWOS classes teach with real skills: reading tides and weather, spotting rip currents, and knowing what to do when a wave takes you down. At SWOS they embrace the importance of our relationship to the ocean and they meet kids where they're at.
